What an indifferent day, flying on the North face of East Lomond.
Light winds from the North always make the steps on the hill difficult to fly fast, there simply is not enough slope to race. I think the wind maxed at around 10 mph on the slope but that was off to the N/W giving a slow and a slower leg to the racing. There were a few light thermally bits that helped immensely but if you were the next pilot you were quite screwed for a decent time. 6 rounds were flown, no one breaking the minute, poor or what! Comp ended at 6 rounds with the threat and arrival of rain. To crown it all the Husky Hunter computer went tits up, so no scores available on the hill.
After last weekends journey to the HoH quite a few of our regulars had called off with other commitments, they did not miss much. Following last weeks flying in a relatively big wind it was very disappointing and depressingly slow. Still we got another event in and we have a result.
Foamie failure again this weekend, only 3 bothered to bring them. This is really sad guys, you all wanted them, but you are not turning up, what gives? When the F3f was finished the foamies that were there were passed around for a bit of impromptu racing and crashing, best bit of the day really!!!
