At long last we have got our summer season started, even though it meant a trip to Pole Hill by Perth.
I think the thought of the drive put many of the regular fliers off, hence the low entry numbers.
This is an adequate hill but certainly not the best, however it faces East and that was the decider.
Conditions were variable to say the least, I reckoned the air speed was only 6-10 mph but on the sharp edge you could get readings of 20 mph. Very strange, however the edge undulated way too much to actually fly that close in and take your model back home.
10 rounds were flown, double entries were allowed to boost the flying and to help us wring out our models.
It looked like low 50's would be the good times but as the day progressed some thermal activity began to occur and one or two better times were recorded.
